Designed by a qualified Physiotherapist and YP Malaga’s course director Susan Church, an experienced Pilates master instructor, our Pilates Mat level I & II intensive training provides you with the expertise needed to teach group pilates mat-work to beginner & intermediate level students.
At a studio in Malaga Centro the course is delivered through 40 hours training plus self-study and supervised teacher training. Our course contains “user-friendly” theory and practice manuals along with functional anatomy assessment of each exercise, understandable teaching cues and business advice.
Starting with the foundations and the fundamentals of pilates, we combine functional anatomy with the modified original Pilates exercises in a safe and effective way. In doing so, we aim to give you a true understanding of the Pilates method and a deeper understanding of functional anatomy.
We start each day with class practice and then we explore and work through the course modules. These include teaching methodology, exercise breakdown, class sequencing, anatomy and business modules. Teaching days start at 9.30am and finish at 6pm with an hour lunch break.
